The Central Theme of the conference is business innovation, with special focus on emerging technologies that drive the creativity and innovation in business development, science, entertainment, education and new venture creation. The conference will promote the collaboration and application of creative mindsets to support cross-fertilisation of ideas between the worlds of business, science and the arts.
A Special Theme of the 2018 conference is to provide an understanding on the uses and applications of immersive technologies in real settings, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR); and how these tools could facilitate creativity and innovation. This is especially appropriate as the venue for TIE’18 is Ravensbourne, an industry-focused design and digital media university-sector college at the heart of London. Situated next to the Millennium (O2) Dome and directly adjacent to the River Thames, Ravensbourne has strong connections into the UK creative industries, which underpins the ethos of the conference.
The conference aims to provide a platform where practitioners from cross disciplinary fields of technology, science, business, arts and humanities and education can come together and collaborate. The event will encourage the exploration of the potential synergies that may arise from pooling different perspectives on creativity for the purposes of more innovative businesses. The conference will centre around four themes: Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Education.
